Grow Your Ideas Art Competition For Teens 2022

June 6, 2022

Theme: Moments in Time

Following the success of previous year’s events, Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre will once again host “Grow Your Ideas” art competition for teens. Students from Lyndhurst Secondary College were invited to submit an A3 piece of art themed “Moments in Time”.

The purpose of this art competition is to increase the exchange of art and culture in our community and to encourage young Lyndhurst Secondary College students in creating art and developing their individual creativity.

Centre Manager at Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre Melanie Brown says it’s all about building strong ties locally. “Part of becoming a community-minded citizen is being conscious of the area in which we trade; these are our people and we want to support them.” Ms Brown said.

Lynbrook Village provided $1,000 worth of art supplies to assist the students and 22 amazing pieces of student art were submitted. These 20 final pieces have been reproduced as large format form

board and are now on display in the Centres main foyer for public exhibition through June.

The 22 Finalists will be invited to a presentation lunch at Suburban Burger where the prizes will be awarded to the top three plus prize for a People’s Choice Award.

The art looks fantastic in the Centre and everyone is encouraged to visit the centre including mums, dads and grandparents to view the art and vote for their favourite via QR code.

Come on in and view this exhibition and vote for your favourite piece of art today!

*T&C’s apply: Limit of one entry per person. Entries valid from Wednesday 1 – Monday 20 June 2022.
